Abstract The 1-ethylmonocarboxylic acid of Malathion (MCA) was identified as a metabolite of Malathion in the gut of golden shiners (N. Chrysoleucas) (7.11 × 102±0.66 × 102 ng/g tissue). As noted in the literature the rate of hydrolysis of Malathion above pH 7 is first order with respect to Malathion and pH dependent. In addition, the rate of hydrolysis of Malathion in aquaria housing these fish was found to be dependent on the concentration of Ca+2; sparging the aquaria with air affected the rate. Some of the hydrolysis products of Malathion were identified by gc/ms and found to be pH dependent above pH 7. The half-life of Malathion under different conditions, the identification of some hydrolytic products and a general scheme for the analysis of Malathion, along with some of its metabolic and hydrolytic products are included in this paper. 相似文献

The kinetic method was applied to differentiate and quantify mixtures of regioisomeric triacylglycerols (TAGs) by generating and mass selecting alkali ion bound metal dimeric clusters with a TAG chosen as reference (ref) and examining their competitive dissociations in a quadrupole ion trap mass spectrometer. This methodology readily distinguished pairs of regioisomers (AAB/ABA) such as LLO/LOL, OOP/OPO and SSP/SPS and consequently distinguished sn-1/sn-3, sn-2 substituents on the glycerol backbone. The dimeric complex ions [ref, Li, TAG(AAB and/or ABA)]+ generated by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry were subjected to collision induced dissociation causing competitive loss of either the neutral TAG reference (ref) leading to [Li(AAB and/or ABA)]+ or the neutral TAG molecule (TAG(AAB and/or ABA)) leading to [ref, Li]+. The ratio of the two competitive dissociation rates, defined by the product ion branching ratio (Riso), was related via the kinetic method to the regioisomeric composition of the investigated TAG mixture. In this work, a linear correlation was established between composition of the mixture of each TAG regioisomer and the logarithm of the branching ratio for competitive fragmentation. Depending on the availability of at least one TAG regioisomer as standard, the kinetic method and the standard additions method led to the quantitative analysis of natural TAG mixtures. 相似文献

In this study, we report the pH values of two buffer solutions without chloride ion and eight buffer solutions with NaCl with an ionic strength I=0.16 mol?kg?1. Electromotive force (emf) techniques have been used to get the cell potentials at 12 temperatures from 5 to 55?°C, including 37?°C. An extended form of the Bates-Guggenheim convention is used in the entire ionic strength range, 0.04 to 0.16?mol?kg?1. The residual liquid junction potentials (??E j ) of the buffer solutions of MOBS have been estimated from previous measurements with a flowing junction cell. These values of ??E j have been used for correction in order to ascertain the operational pH values of four buffer solutions of MOBS at 25 and 37?°C. While extensive theoretical work has been devoted to analyzing scattering behavior for nonspherical particles, few experimental studies of the light‐scattering properties of such particles are available, largely because of the difficulty of synthesizing such particles with uniform geometries. Here we report the synthesis of highly uniform, volume‐equivalent rod‐shaped colloidal particles prepared from their commercial spherical counterparts, on which we performed light scattering experiments as a function of scattering angle for micro rods with varying aspect ratio and volume. These results were compared to values calculated using the T‐Matrix method. Good agreement with theoretical predictions was found for the experimentally measured scattering cross sections and the angular dependence of the scattering intensity. An increase in the forward scattering intensity is observed and predicted for particles with larger aspect ratios relative to their volume equivalent spheres, with only minor differences observed at both mid‐range and backscattering angles. Furthermore, the light scattering results for the rod‐shaped particles did not show the scattering fringes seen in scattering by the spheres, indicating that as three‐dimensional symmetry is broken, the associated Lorenz–Mie resonances are strongly attenuated. N‐Heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complexes of Cd and Hg triflates (OTf) were prepared and their attempted conversion into rare cadmium and mercury hydrides was explored. In contrast to zinc, which forms stable [ZnH]+ complexes with NHCs, the heavier Cd and Hg congeners could not be formed; the increased instability of Cd‐H and Hg‐H units was rationalized with the aid of computations. It was also discovered that the dimeric adduct [IPr?Cd(μ‐OTf)2]2 (IPr=[(HCNDipp)2C:]; Dipp=2,6‐iPr2C6H3) is an active precatalyst for the hydrosilylation and hydroborylation of hindered aldehydes and ketones. The related zinc congener was inactive as a catalyst highlighting a distinct advantage of using heavy Group 12 metals to promote catalytic hydrosilylation/borylation. 相似文献
